IXL
Try out IXL. The math-only subscription is $10/month. We recommend having your kid take the time to do the diagnostic initially. This can take awhile but can be broken up over multiple days. Once the diagnostic is completed, the student can choose lessons under the “From Diagnostic” category in order to continue along their path. Additionally, the “IXL Weekly Boost” email that you receive is a good checkpoint each week.
Math Match
Play Math Match. This is a 12-sided dice + card game and is also fantastic for multi age play. K-2 can play with a single die and addition/subtraction, but older siblings can play with 2 dice and more complex operations.
Monopoly
Play Monopoly! Leave a game out and come back to it each night for a few mins. The practice of creating monetary sums and making change is a fun and real application of the skills they are currently building.
Sumology
Play Sumology. This is like scrabble but for math equations. Great for multi age play: K-2 can focus on addition/subtraction, 3-5 can build in multiplication/division and even play with orders of operation.
Sushi Monster
Try the Sushi Monster app to practice addition fact fluency.
Tiny Polka Dot
Play Tiny Polka Dot. Current students are very familiar with Memory Dot Tens and can teach you how to play!
